UMMM can we say Showstopper
So I feel as though I need to find these sneakers, just so I can look ultra fly when in dance class. I feel as though with these sneakers I could climb mountains, moonwalk across small streams, pop lock and tutt all over the streets of downtown Philly. With a pair of sneaks like these your outfit should be dumb simple because the sneaks are good on its own. If any one knows the name of this sneaker..PLEASE Please tell me :)

Black is the new Broke
Today was a good day in so many ways..
1) received 2 paychecks in the mail so that means the bills are paid (on time...always..having a good credit record is always a necessity),
2) I had a banging playlist at work,
3) Urban outfitters was having there supercafal...(the word Marry Poppins used, I cant spell it) sale, were ALL sale items got an additional 50% knocked off the price and I came out like a CHAMPIONE (yes if its spelled this way like the french it waaay better than the English word of champion)
4) Work was cool, (until)....
However all things slowly turned sour for a good 20 mins. As I explained above all was going well until I realized ,"Hey I need to buy tokens for the week". So I made a stop at the MAC machine (ATM ) and withdrew my $10 and G walked to 13th street to where I knew I was going to get a guaranteed single seat on the trolley. As I made my way pass Ubiq and a few other stores off Walnut st. it dawned on me that I was $.15 short of getting my 7 tokens. I didn't want to waste a fresh ten and come out short on the discount of getting my 7 tokens so I figured instead of hitting up the ATM again to withdraw another ten and then having to make change I was feelin sure I could find either a nickel, dime or quarter laying somewhere in the cracks of the street. Well let me tell you I walked from 17th n Walnut to 13th n Market with out scoping a twinkle of a silver or copper anywhere. I had people looking at me all strange because I was looking on the ground like some bloodhound searching for loose change. I never felt so frustrated for all 5 plus blocks, any other time I can eye spy at least a nickel or penny laying around here and there but today nothing but a large total count of cigarette buts, chewed up and dried up gum, random lone weaves pieces and other things . I then came to the conclusion that you know its getting ruff because the homeless people have the streets on lock when it comes to change. It's like they have spider sense for when change hits the ground. It's like they are after it like how lions hunt down antelope in the pride lands. (I know I may go to hell for saying this, but it's how I thought at the time...sorry and no offense to anyone)Luckily my dear friend Helen who was in the area was able to come to my rescue and give me the needed $.15...aaaaaaah I love my co-workers

i want to become better
taking in the freshly brewed Oxygen each day, making mistakes and learning from them as well as learning from others mistakes because it is not possible to make every mistake that is humanly possible, listening/ discovering/"DJ-ing"/ and rediscovering old music, making friends, working like Kunta's long lost run away cousin, reading, studying, runajogawalkin (thats a new exercise I created :) ), eating waterice, and just trying to busy myself...and of course trying to see my friends here and there.
I'm still on my Clazziquai Project ish. That group is like....like...so many things that my soul and ears crave for...its like my new addiction. I can't get enough of them and Alex Chu who is 1/2 of the group who has his own solo cd..which is fire. One of my favorite songs from his cd entitled "My Vintage Romance" is the song Miss Understand f/ Simon Dominic (Simon D). The song is sung in his native language which is Korean, but it is definately a good song whether or not u can understand the words. You can sense the feeling and soul in it (well I do). Listen

Behind Clothes Doors
Question for you...When you go shopping whether with friends or by yourself do you tend to dance and do little poses in your dressing room? I know I do especially if the store is playing a good song or I'm just feeling the clothing item I have on. I know that its a match made in heaven when I feel a "warm" glow from the outfit....unfortnately this dress got a half warm glow because I felt it was over priced for what Express was charging. Thats ok because I will be back for it with a 15% coupon in my hand :)

See You Soon Grasshopper
Today's post will be a bit dreary, due to the rain and also because of a loss. Today the martial arts world and a small portion of my mid afternoon young childhood suffered a loss today. The dynamic man David Carradine passed. He was found dead in his hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand while in the midst of filming a new movie.
You may ask who is this David Carradine and why is it such a big deal? Well, my young grasshopper you know him as the white guy (who I thought for the longest was Asian) who played in the show "Kung Fu" or you may remember him as Bill in the movie "Kill Bill". Back in my younger days when I was going through my tom-boy phase, I could remember rushing home or enjoying those days off when I would plant my buns in front of the old rabbit ears for hours and watch in awe of the splendor known as "Kung Fu". I thought it was brilliant and how I learned so much on what it took to become a ninja or a monk? I don't remember but I thought it was cool when he had flashbacks and it showed how he had to learn how to hold pebbles that were baking in lava fire, taking pebbles out of his masters hand (which he failed so miserably at), or all the other cool ninja stuff. Anyways there was always a lesson at the end of the episode and a new move I would experiment on people.
So in the end I send my condolences to the Carradine family, and pray for them to get through such a sad time of their life.

Sha na na na na....It's SUMMERTIME
Minmi, a japanese singer who infuses j-pop and reggae into a beautiful blend that will definately get your waists whining . She is so good that she was one of the headliners to Trindad's Carnival celebration last summer. As always open your mind and take a listen, you may end up liking her and her rhythms.

I pop lock and drop it...but only in the rain
If every rainy day meant dancing with random breakdancing cardboard objects ...then I welcome rainy days with open arms.
Yet I still believe the Gene Kelly will always have a song and dance in my heart for his performance of the musical "Singing In the Rain"...what an awesome movie.

Stuntin on them with the Flu
So as I gorged myself at my Grandmom's dinner table of round two of second or third helpings of string beans and other wonderful non-"diet friendly" foods. I noticied as I was chewing and reading my fork for another mouth full that there was a faint new taste to the string beans. I couldn't put my "fork on it" but I was like "Yeah, these beans taste extra...something" as I delivered another mouthful....hmmm was it a new seasoning or maybe it was a way she simmered the beans this time. It suddenly dawned on me...those smalls specks that I saw earlier while making my helpings where bacon.....wth. Usually I could care less but these last few days my ears and eyes have been plagued with anything dealing with the Swine Flu. I kinda freaked out some and paused for a hot 3 seconds...saying "Dear God please don't take me now, I just want to enjoy this splendor of food, go on summer vacation, have future gorgeous babies, go fly a kite, and besides I don't have health insurance". My Mom later said she kind of did the same thing, but finished her plate anyways and informed me {even though I knew} that you couldn't get Swine Flu from eating bacon. Later on that day while surfing the net I came across an article on PopSugar.com that mentioned how a company was selling "stylish face masks" (People will always try and make money off of anything...good or bad)...I was like really, a face mask with pictures...why didn't I think of that first.
Oh and yeah I did finish my plate all three times with desert on the side :)

It's Not Amazing, UnAmazing
So I stumbled across the new Kanye West video and I was ......soooo not feeling the video. Usually Mr.West has great music videos for his songs but this one I swear..if I was diagnosed with AHDD it would've kicked in the first 5 seconds. This video was beyond lame and the fact that i couldn't post the shorter version of this song ,I apologize if you watched it before reading this post. I think the NBA commercial that features this song is more pleasant on the eyes than the video. The only portions that were just ok was the few scenes of different landscapes..otherwise it was a waste of film.

Green I be
SO in honor of celebrating Mother Earth, I attempted to continue my "green process" by continuing my duties of recycling and even writing in green. I'm sure she is proud. I even took public transportation today too (even though I take it everyday to work :) )
So yesterday I posted two songs from the Korean group Clazziquai, which I have fallen hard for within the past 24 hours. All day I have been humming their songs in my head to the point that everything else is just a waste to my ear drums. I don't know if its the way that they are able to incorporate jazz, house, lounge, and trip-trop that have my soul craving for more like that 80's crack. So for the next couple of days I will be drowning myself in the scent known as Clazziquai.

Music has no boundaries when it speaks to the soul
From the Korean group Clazziquai....I love the vocals on it as well as the background music as well. If you can get past the language barrier it is a good chill song...if you cant get pass the language try the English verison of there song below, try something new today....it wont hurt, it just make you a better person than what you are.
love xoxo TiffsoYo :)

Unsolved Mysteries of the Food Kind
( Two posts in one day, I'm on a roll. )
Today my hermano and I had a very interesting conversation which lasted throughout the day about a "thing" that is known in the mystical land of Ronald McDonaldland as Grimace. To those who grew up in the 80's and early 90's I'm sure you remember the Saturday morning or after school cartoons and being bombared with commericals of Ronald McD, the Fry Kids, the Bird chic with pony tails, Nuggets that sang and rode skateboards, and a token group of normal kids shoving their faces with Cheeseburgers and Coke products and unpacking the free plastic toy inside the cardboard castle. My fond memories of the commericals still play in my head today and I kinda miss the times when Ronald McD was real about showing that crime happens everywhere especially in McDonaldland. Like when the Hamburgler would hijack lil Billy's Cheeseburger or Nugget meal and make off until a purple blog named Grimace would clumsly trip and some how spoil Hamburglers plans, and as always Ronald got the credit (smh...taking the dudes shine). So yeah we all knew that each character related to some type of food that was offered at MickeyD's but where in the hell did Grimace fit in? Was he some mutant from a distant land, or maybe a moldly blueberry pie that later evolved and was taken in by Ronald? I have asked other people and all the answers lead to a giant question mark. So I figured I, Tiffso would do a 5 minute research and see if I could find some answers because the American and the rest of the people in the universe need to know gosh-damn it!!
So after a minute or two, I found a few places..wiki, google...etc. And of course they didn't really know either...wth ( >:( ) ...this is like an unsolved mystery. But what I did find out was interesting. The Grimace dude is some dumb purple animal that lived in a cave and at one time was a milkshake thief ....Like I said Ronald kept it real about crime in the world and didn't sugar coat anything..real dude. He even went by the alias of "Evil Grimace", had four arms and would karate chop kids in the throat and steal their milkshakes while the Hamburgler punched them in the stomach and stole the burgers. Yeah that all didn't happen but it sounded great, but they where thieves. Later somehow Grimace made so much grop from stealing and selling the milkshakes to others that he tried being like the Tony Montana of Milkshakes in Ronald McDonald but some ish went down and he lost 2 of his 4 arms. Grimace got shook and became Ronald's lil hoe piece and the rest is history.
The End or is it ?

Tap Dancing Rainbows on my feet
Behold and feast your eyes on these beauties
These are by Converse and I first spied them in Urban Outfitters in the Men's department basking in a warm spring glow by the shoe department playing melodies of summer lovin. They come in 2 other color styles but these two are my favs and starting from $64-$70 (pending on other retailers) I think they are a great look to add some "sparkle" to a summer outfit. I could see myself dancing in these in the Frankmusik video of "Three little Words", if you don't know who I'm talking about take a look see below.

Spring came a knocking
If my life was a music video or a movie this is definitely the opening song I would've picked. Picture it: the morning rays hitting my face, me slowing peering from underneath my blanket, cell phone and zune laying beside me. Blurry eyes trying to focus on the clock across the room and then the covers flipping back over my head for a few more minutes.... Today was gorgeous, if you spent the whole day inside, you definitely missed out on some great weather.

I caught Bangs-itis...but an Xmen cured it for me
BEHOLD!!! This is what the after effects look like after someone goes in to get "banged"...lol (Mr.B, I couldn't help it)..."Banged" obviously meaning getting bangs. SO I took the jump or should I say cut and got my fringes installed because I felt like I was in a hair rut for the past i don't know how many years. I'm still getting used to it, but I am loving it everyday.
OK wait wait wait and wait...so I was going to put up a clip to take us all back to the 90's when we all watched the Xmen animated series, which was real hot then. I came across the Japanese opening of the series and watched it for a minute and some change. The whole minute I was like "Man, these Japanese Xmen mean business...like the American version made them look tree huggers that flipped and maybe did damage by just knocking over a fire hydrant. They even had Professor Xavier looking like he was a disabled Power Ranger that could give you the business." Check out both the American and Japanese verison and tell what you think.

And Like A Phoenix I Start Anew Again
Hello world, what can I say this weekend was a bit on the slump side. I mean there were a few highlights...I visited my inner groupie preteen side for the first time when I saw, waved and received a wave back from Mr.Jamie Foxx ( I even squealed...that will be a first and a last unless I see Pharrell or am given a Chanel Caviar Bag..lol), and that I hung out and did a smidget of shopping with my cuzo "Kan" on Saturday. But besides that I felt like a piece of grey matter walking the streets in search of something to inspire or just get my blood flowing for something different. So Saturday kinda ended on a whomp whomp status...but low and behold on Sunday I awoke to a beautiful email on my Facebook page from a good buddy of mind named "P" and some new friends he introduced me to. After a few messages back in forth and all, it left me in a good spot. Lets just say we "P" and my new amigos plan on making some moves but that will be presented later, a definite future post. :)
SO to end my definite lazy and uplifting Sunday, I did what I do best and what made me happy...watch my Asian drama, did a few sketches, chatted with a few friends (which helped perked me...I heart my friends), enjoyed hot cups of tea, listened to music (duh), and looked at some websites. I actually can't wait for Monday to come, just so I can start this weekend off on a good foot.
I was having a Bjork music moment today...if you don't know who she is as Mr.T would say "I pity the fool"..lol.. I heart Bjork been a fan since junior high, she is not for everyone but for one thing her videos are always on point and will always keep you guessing because she is the epitome of the phrase "Expect the unexpected"

Say No Because I said so and it's healthy, will help reduce global warming, stop animal cruelty, feed the homeless, make you a better person, ...etc.
TiffsoYo's 5 Reasons to Ban/Retire the word "Swagger"
1. Today I saw a man who was probably in the age bracket of 48-55 wearing a tan hoodie with the word Swagg airbrushed in a array of colors.....wth...Who's kids lied to their Pop and told them he looked cool and hip. You are setting him up to get a variety of stares ranging from the raised eye brow all the way to snickers. Don't set up your family, love them.
2. It's completely over used for everything that has no relation to a person's sense of style...Ex. (true story) I heard it used in this way " Man ! this pizza is swagtastic !" ...WHAT!! did I hear the record scratch and skip and heads snap back to the point of wip lash...yes you read write...I heard that exact sentence leave the tongue of a stranger..and they were serious with this statement...Let's all take a moment now to shake our heads in shame to allow such a word to succumb to such miss usage of poor grammar.
3. Ryan Seacrest. Need I say more.
4. It's found it's way to the country music genre.... "Hopped up out the bed yaw, turn my swaggg on, dusted off my cowboy boots and said what's up.."
5. According to my brother Civil War veterans are using it.
So yeah as of today March 27, 2009 we all should make an effort if not already to reduce and later reuse in 5 years to come to stop with the word use of Swagg. Like I said it will help fight against global warming, save the rainforests of South America, help re-freeze the polar ice caps, get you a signifcant other or make your current relationship better, tone your body and give you abs, clear acne, fight against crime, and just make you better person that everyone will love.
** I think its ok to play a few songs that contains the word but eventually we will need to play them at a minimum just so we can enforce this new rule.

Merry Christmas Mr.Lawrence - FYI
I can not get this song out of my head for the love of all things that are ....are....something good. Take a listen it's really good, definitely a dance in the mirror type song, because I don't have the guts to do a full out choreography on the streets yet.

Hump Day
Wednesday was an ok day, nothing out of the ordinary except for the fact that it started off to a good start at around 1:15 am. I alil phone call from someone unexpected, but it definitely was a nice short call in which I got two song dedications which definitely caused me to blush and giggle like a pre-teen. After hitting the bed to regain my full 8 hours of sleep, I did the typical which is watch my morning dosage of Maury and then off to work. Earlier last week I came up on some free tickets to a pre-screening of "A Haunting in Connecticut" which didn't come out until this Friday. So I met up with my good friend Jamal to go feel like VIP status at the Ritz, but unfortunately our time of glistening in VIP status was quickly extinguished because they over booked the seating...lames.
How could they turn us down...I guess they saw that stash of food in my bag..lol
Oh well that is what the Internet is for...SIKE SIKE..lol.. I do NOT promote watching movies on the net because they are fuzzy........and against the law..lol.
OK....I know I have been slacking on the outfit photos, but have no fear I will produce some this week. Work has been a bit hectic, but they are coming :)
Here is some new music for the mean time: I let my kid* Cheza randomly pick a song and this is what she chose...open your mind, close your eyes and see
*I don't have a kid that I birthed, but one that I purchased and ordered that I named Cheza Box Moore. She is my 3rd electronic Baby or E-baby, so if you ask me if I have kids, the answers is yes..I have a small tribe of 4 Ebabies who I love all like I laid in the delivery room of Bestbuy and popped out from my Visa card.

Ms. Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie is gracing the cover of Black Book magazine's April cover, and honestly I'm not to pumped about it. Don't get me wrong I have always liked (Yeah I said it)Ms.Richie from the time she was coming out in the lime light as Paris Hilton's side kick,to her losing weight, and other "wacked out" Hollywood hay days. But I feel like this look is being recycled by sooo many people. I mean I'm all about reusing, recycling, recession-living or what not but come on. I think from Lady Gaga, Ciara, Beyonce (who needs to go on vaca for a while), and probably some more have done the "futuristic/80's pop/half cyborg" look so many times in the last few months its becoming overly repetitive and predictable. Quit swagga-jacking/copying and pasting/bitin/and sweatin each other become a lil more original...just alil please.
Don't take it as me "hating"...Oh no I love Ms.Ritchie, I just want the best out of everyone. My torch still burns bright for her because besides all of her personal hoopla I have always liked her style even if it was through the help of Rachel Zoe. I preferred her over any of the "It girls" of her time. I also think she is hilarious, she made the "Simple Life" funny because she was the main one causing the mischief or had some funny catch phrase or comeback. Also can you also believe that she is pregnant again while these picks where taken...wowza!

I'll Pass on the Extra Butter on the Popcorn, I need to Fit in MY Valentino Dress
All I can say is, who would like to accompany me to this? If your going to be in the business of fashion or any career/subject for that matter you need to know it's roots to succeed.
Love,Sex, & Magic
Woowza! I am definitely feeling this video, from the outfits, the the dancing choreography (is it really dancing, either way I like it). Oh so sexy, and JT is looking very tasty. I actually like this version compared to the Madonna and JT version.
I can't but help see chics trying to find tops like CiCi's one piece and rocking them this summer more so as an outfit of sum sort. I'm actually for it, just make sure if you opt to do something like that to be worn either during the day time hours or late night el clubo scene please do it with class and have a real friend there in the process who will tell you if its a hit or miss. And let me re-iterate when I mean to wear outside I mean with a bottom ( jeans, shorts, pants..etc) on for those that thought I meant just wear outside like your going straight to the beach...if I saw you do that on the street I would slap you and yell at you in a friendly loving way. Later as the weather progress I will do style segments of putting certain pieces together for this. But in the mean time if your on the hunt one reasonable place to hit up is American Apparel. I like to venture to this store because they offer basic tees, hoodies, leggings, dresses, sweats and in a plethora of colors for both women and men. If not really your place to venture of course places like Asos and Victoria's Secret swim wear collection offer one pieces.
