Sha na na na na....It's SUMMERTIME

Summer is offically here according to the calendar of all things TiffsoYo!...and to any Philadelphian native you know that summer is officially here when Will Smith's Summer time comes on the radio; just like you know that the Christmas holiday is here when you start seeing Egg Nog offered in the Dairy aisle, same thing goes here. HOWEVER in the wonderful world of TiffsoYo! There are two yes dos summer jams I bump to....Let me introduce you to the beautiful songtress of Minmi.

Minmi, a japanese singer who infuses j-pop and reggae into a beautiful blend that will definately get your waists whining . She is so good that she was one of the headliners to Trindad's Carnival celebration last summer. As always open your mind and take a listen, you may end up liking her and her rhythms.

Minmi- Summertime : You can't tell me that this party/concert looks hot..I wish I couldve been there

It's been along time, I should've left you with out a dope beat to step to

So, I been on a 20 plus day hiatus as you can see. I apologize , there has been a lot going on in the month of May from birthdays, several college graduations, an increase of hours at my job, my new addiction of jogging/running I have acquired, and not to mention that the warm weather has been keeping me more outdoors than indoors. But no worries I have been taking a lot of photos...I've just failed to upload them.
This past weekend was the Memorial Day weekend, which in my mind means the official start to summer. I didn't do anything spectacular like go to a beach or some place far, but what I did and who I saw was just as good. Sunday I met up with some wonderful CE's from my Alma Marta which was nice and on Monday I attended a High School reunion esque BBQ. It was nice to she old faces and see what they where doing since we left that place called Penn Wood.
But other than that all has been dandy. Here are some misc. pictures.

Penn Wood High 01...some of us

McJawn ( A Philly native) even left his mark via chalk drawings throughout

Rittenhouse Square Park, so nice to watch the people and little people

What chu know about Phileo yogurt? ..That's it's one of the best places on South Street to pile on mountains of goodness into a plethora of yogurt flavors. I pick 4 flavors and go crazy on the toppings, that way a new taste with every bite :)

Tiramasu, oh how I love you. I dream of running through fields of flowers to meet and devour your with my plastic spoon of love.

I pop lock and drop it...but only in the rain

If every rainy day meant dancing with random breakdancing cardboard objects ...then I welcome rainy days with open arms.

Yet I still believe the Gene Kelly will always have a song and dance in my heart for his performance of the musical "Singing In the Rain"...what an awesome movie.

Stuntin on them with the Flu

pic popsugar.com

So as I gorged myself at my Grandmom's dinner table of round two of second or third helpings of string beans and other wonderful non-"diet friendly" foods. I noticied as I was chewing and reading my fork for another mouth full that there was a faint new taste to the string beans. I couldn't put my "fork on it" but I was like "Yeah, these beans taste extra...something" as I delivered another mouthful....hmmm was it a new seasoning or maybe it was a way she simmered the beans this time. It suddenly dawned on me...those smalls specks that I saw earlier while making my helpings where bacon.....wth. Usually I could care less but these last few days my ears and eyes have been plagued with anything dealing with the Swine Flu. I kinda freaked out some and paused for a hot 3 seconds...saying "Dear God please don't take me now, I just want to enjoy this splendor of food, go on summer vacation, have future gorgeous babies, go fly a kite, and besides I don't have health insurance". My Mom later said she kind of did the same thing, but finished her plate anyways and informed me {even though I knew} that you couldn't get Swine Flu from eating bacon. Later on that day while surfing the net I came across an article on PopSugar.com that mentioned how a company was selling "stylish face masks" (People will always try and make money off of anything...good or bad)...I was like really, a face mask with pictures...why didn't I think of that first.

Oh and yeah I did finish my plate all three times with desert on the side :)
